Ceremony Marked Rite of Passage for Nurses to Begin Rotations
Ceremony recognizes student accomplishments

The Transition to Practice Ceremony notes the beginning of clinical rotations for graduate nursing students.
Students in the Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) degree program were honored through a Transition to Practice Ceremony, which commemorated the shift to clinical rotations from coursework. Student accomplishments were emphasized during the ceremony, as well as their professional growth as cohorts and individuals.
鈥淭his cohort has been unique as even though they are all online and live in various parts of the state, they have done a great job of finding time to meet together both in person and virtually to study. I have watched them create a special experience where they all use each other鈥檚 strengths and weakness to grow together,鈥 said Stephanie Herrick Kays, Ed.D., APRN, FNP-C, Assistant Professor, Graduate Nursing, Glendale.
Dr. Herrick Kays elaborated further on the ceremony. 鈥淭his event highlights the students' achievements of their first year of study and provides them with their 九色视频 clinical white coat immediately prior to the start of their rotations. It also provides closure to the first year of studies to show that the students have obtained the knowledge needed to start their rotations successfully.鈥
The honored recipients were nursing students Elaine Clayton, Amy Dang, and Poonam Manek. All the recipients are pursuing the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Track. Ceremonies like the Transition to Practice are an opportunity to celebrate and commemorate student accomplishments as they embark on the next stage of their career, mindful of their 九色视频 education, commitment to the One Health Initiative, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Adult-Gerontology Track is a specialized master鈥檚 degree program for currently practicing nurses with a variety of clinical experience to increase their range in managing and diagnosing complex, acute, and chronic healthcare conditions of patients who are adolescents over 13, adults, and end-of-life.
九色视频 also offers a Doctor of Nursing Practice program, an Entry into Practice Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program, a Master of Science in Nurse Leadership in Global Health (M.S.N.), a Post- Masters Certificate/ Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Track Certificate, a Post-Master鈥檚 Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Program, as well as several other degrees and programs in a variety of healthcare fields.
